Hi everyone! A massive HAPPY NEW YEAR to all of you!
I really can’t believe 2017 is over. I had a rocky start to the year as I had just done my stem cell transplant at the end of 2016 so the first months of 2017 was all about recovery. Then around March/April I received the result of my transplant which I will explain more elaborately later on my Cancer Talk post. I will say that the result was not as expected so I had to continue with an antibody infusion. However, I didn’t have to do chemo which is a big YEY for me, at least I get to stay home and do something instead of being so weak and tired all the time.
So this year I started Astanya officially. It’s been keeping me busy and I love being busy (though sometimes I get carried away…). I have also been helping a bit for my (former) faculty at the university doing some online work. I had to get used to having deadlines again as it has been a while since I did any work at all. There were times when I felt overwhelmed, though for Aggy pre-cancer it would’ve been nothing. I am still learning to understand my body and to stop when I need to.
I don’t really do resolutions, but this year I really would like to listen to my body more and to give myself less self-criticism and more self-love. I think I’ve been pretty hard on myself this year.
Oh and I will be discontinuing Dream Explore Wander, my travel blog. I think it’s about time I let DEW go since I don’t really travel anymore and I don’t consider myself as a travel blogger anymore. I really don’t feel good about having a blog up and never updating anything. Plus, I feel so much “at home” with My Burumpi these days since I can write just about anything here 😀
However, I do think some of the posts there are worth keeping. I tried to import them automatically but WordPress suspended my blog tsk…so I had to do them manually. So in the next few months, you’ll probably see me publish some old DEW posts, some have been published according to the real date and time so you can see some of the posts in the new category of Travel.
I hope you all have a great 2018!
